My 8 Step Formula For Living An Amazing Life

Even if you are living a great life right now, it can always be made better. Success means different things to different people but whatever it means to you, every step and stage of our lives can be improved.

Here is my 8 step formula for living an Amazing life…

Step 1. Let go of things that no longer serve you.

Let go of the baggage. Whatever it is, past mistakes, guilt, friends who try to pull you down, let go of them. Don’t cling to the past, acknowledge it and then let go and move on.

Step 2. Decide on the path of attainment.

Stop going around in circles. Many people lack direction. You won’t get rich by luck, you won’t get that book written without a plan. It’s time to take responsibility for your time and create a plan to get what you want. Decide on your future path, write it down, map it out, get planning now – today.

Let go of just being a spectator, the world is full of these, plan and do.

Step 3. Get Started.

This is a major sticking point for many. It’s no good knowing what you want to do in life if you keep it all in your head and never take the action to do it. Talking is fine, but it won’t get it done, the world is full of good talkers and not many people of action.

Step 4. Dealing with negative thoughts and people.

You are probably already aware of this, most people are programmed from an early age to default to the negative. It begins when we are kids and we get told “NO” a few thousand times. People tend to be fairly defensive and often cynical. Check out social media (especially Twitter) and you’ll see what I mean.

Negative thoughts and people will never make you feel better. Negative people will derail and demotivate you, given half the chance. If you are trying to get ahead in life, you will always find someone who will be trying to pull you back and stop you.

Stay away from the dark. Stick to the light.

Positive people are seen as a threat to negative people. They think that by you becoming a better person, you may be showing them up as “less” of a person, hence this is why you should hang with positive people on the same or similar journey to you.

Keep away from negative TV programmes, especially the news. Replace that with positive books and audios. Keep it positive and notice the difference it makes to your mental health.

Step 5. Spend your time wisely

Find the time. I hear so many people say things like “I work a full time job, I have no time for anything else”. This really is just one big excuse. Anyone who ever did anything had similar problems to you:

Excuses:

“I’ve got a full time job, I can’t find the time”

“I’ve got kids”

“I’ve got bills to pay”

The truth is, most people who have ever done anything great have had the same problems. It’s just not true that all millionaires are young single people without a care in the world. Most millionaires do in fact come from humble beginnings without any large cash sums from ma or pa, many have little formal education other than just the basic, and they also have kids and bills too. SO, stop kidding yourself and get on and DO IT.

Life won’t be the same again once you get rolling, get used to it and embrace the change.

Step 6. In order to be happy, make others happy.

This might be obvious, but you would be surprised at how some people just “moan” their way through life. Check out their Facebook wall, you’ll get an idea of whether they are a giver of good news or a taker, a taker of your spirit.

The best way to be happy is to make others happy. There is a lot of pleasure in seeing others happy, successful and glowing. Every time you make someone else’s life just that little bit better, you add to your own happiness. It’s the way of the world.

When you see people constantly moaning about the Government, the economy etc, you can see that these people are habitually unhappy. They make a habit of it. They are doing the opposite of making others happy, they are sucking the life out of them.

Step 7. Love others, but most importantly, love yourself.

You are worthy. You are your NO.1 asset. Look after yourself. It’s very difficult to love others if you don’t love yourself. Being likeable is important, being lovable is even more important and you get that when you love yourself.

We all get self-doubt at some stage in our lives, this is normal, but don’t let those doubts stop you achieving what you want in life. You’re a long time dead and life is short, you’ve been given this human body as your presence on Earth, love your quirks, your flaws and imperfections, you are unique – celebrate your individuality. Remember, you are one of a kind.

Step 8. Do what you love

You spend a long time in your job, let me remind you. Just 40 hrs a week for 50 weeks a year for 40 years is an incredible 2000 hrs a year, or 80,000 hours if you work for 40yrs. This means you spend around 50% of your entire life at work.

This is a HUGE chunk of your life. Stop selling yourself short. Make every day count.

We were not put on this earth to just pay bills and die. Even if it means re-educating yourself, do what you love. Some people spend their entire working lives complaining about their job. That’s a whopping 80,000 hours of work just for the sake of living and paying bills.

It’s not too late to get off the hamster wheel, it’s never too late. Start your own enterprise, what do you love doing? Do that.

I hope you got value from this post. if you did, why not leave me a comment below or share the post?

Thanks in advance.
