Will fitting in ever make you rich or famous?
Probably not..
Common thinking is quite pleasant and safe. If it were a cat, you’d probably caress and stroke it.
But..
As much as common thinking is, well, common, the thinking that made us one of the common people is not going to make us rich. Here’s why.. Whatever it is you are trying to achieve, if it is a long way from where you are now, it won’t be achieved with the same thinking that got you to where you are today..
This makes sense.
What we have today in physical and mental form is the sum total of all of our thoughts, actions, and habits.. So, unless your thinking changes, your future can’t change a lot from the present. It’s just a perpetual wheel of the same things.. most people live their lives on repeat.
But, I thought routine is good for us?
Of course, it is, we all like some routine, it’s healthy – however, when your whole life becomes a routine, it can often lead to feelings of hopelessness. Progress (in anything) is that shiny red apple sitting on top of the pile of boring green apples.. you sometimes have to deviate from the norm.
Progress gives us life. We weren’t born to stagnate, we were born to grow and contribute, not play out our entire lives out in repeat mode.
Step 1.
Decide on what doesn’t serve you and replace it with something that does. The most expensive item in the whole house is the TV. TV is chewing gum for the eyes, it’s entertainment, but if you are starting a new business, or trying to learn a new skill, do you need constant entertainment?.
Let’s be honest, some TV is useful, even educational, but the majority of it is just a pile of dung, interspersed with ads for things you don’t really need. Do we really need ads for bladder leak pads and funeral plans whilst eating dinner?
Sometimes, something as simple as a TV can end up costing you a lot more than your time. Maybe, cut this expensive passtime down a bit. According to Statista, the average American spends 3hrs and 17 minutes a day watching TV.
What could you do with that extra 3hrs and 17 minutes a day?
Time Is Running Out
The roadmap to being special:
- Make Others Feel Special. …
- Work on Your Own Growth and Personal Development. …
- Be Kind and Considerate to Others. …
- Lead a Life of Purpose. …
- Get Clear About Relationships and What you Desire. …
- Take Great Self-Care. …
Step 2.
Realize that indeed, time is running out. Most people never achieve their dream in life. Not because they can’t, but because they won’t. People tend to put things off until it just becomes a distant memory.
Taking action does require motivation from you, just you. The way to be motivated is to get started. Nothing else actually works. You have to take the first step in order to be motivated in order to take the 2nd and the 3rd step, etc.
If in your heart, you really want something. You will find a way to get it. Most people are too busy earning a living to make any real money. You have to attack what you want like you are a maniac. You grow a thick skin to protect you from the doubters and you just go for it.
Learn to be relentless.
It’s all about overcoming self-doubt. Doubting yourself is the quickest form of procrastination, you put things off because you don’t think you can achieve them..
The truth is, you can achieve even more than you think you can, don’t set your standard by other people. Most people’s standards are quite low, they just want to live each day as it is, keep working and keeping the family safe and well, this is good, everyone wants this but you can also do a lot much more..
Money = Freedom. The more you have, the more you can do.
If it’s more time you want. Quit wasting it on TV programs and use that time to create more money, more freedom, and in effect, more free time.
