Your past is not your potential. In any hour you can choose to liberate the future. —Marilyn Ferguson, Author
Within all of us lies a giant. Unlock your inner power, and you will expand
beyond your wildest imagination!
You may feel shackled by your insecurities, inhibited by the old stories you tell yourself, or downright bored of your life.
Stop for a moment and think how many times you didn’t do what you wanted to for fear of failing, or from the belief that you weren’t good enough.
Maybe you’re stuck in a job which doesn’t bring you joy, perhaps you
believe you aren’t skilled enough for the acting career you’ve always dreamed of, or maybe you’ve been busy losing yourself in a relationship
which no longer inspires you.
All those untapped resources… What a waste!
Remind yourself that it doesn’t have to be this way. There’s a route out of
this narrow existence that begins with unlocking the infinite reserve of your
inner power.
Remember: YOU are the master of your own destiny. YOU decide the
direction of your life, and YOU are the sole architect of your dreams!
So how about you stop saying no and start saying yes? Say yes to facing
your fears, yes to throwing yourself into challenges, yes to being alive! You
will soon see that you are capable of doing anything you want to as long as
you release that giant within.
Find Your Giant And Set It Free
I want you to start by thinking big. Visualise your ideal self; it can take any
form you like. Perhaps you’d like to be a more confident individual, able to
maintain healthy, happy relationships, or have the meaningful career
you’ve always craved.
1) Spend some time reflecting on your ideal self – feel into the corners of
that self. It might help to journal or draw an image which represents
this ultimate self.
2) Once you have a clear idea, write down 5 obstacles that you believe
get in the way of you becoming who you want to be.
3) Take a moment to look at these ‘obstacles’ you have written down.
Some of them look a little silly, right?
4) I want you to destroy these obstacles. Cross them out, rip the paper
up, you can even set fire to it if you want to!
5) Now, write down 5 tangible goals which will help you to become
your ideal self.
6) Put your goals somewhere visible. Remind yourself of them daily and
take actions to achieve them.
It’s time to see your obstacles for what they really are: imagined. Turn the
focus from these illusory blockages to achievable goals, and you will soon
realise that your mindset is the only thing that stands in the way of you
embodying your inner giant.
Think of an acorn. So small and unassuming, but it has the potential within
it to become a huge majestic oak tree. Reach for the sun and release that
awe-inspiring power.
Don’t Be A Drain, Be A Radiator
When you tap into your inner power, you give others around you
permission to do the same. People will see that it’s possible to fearlessly
squeeze all of the juices out of life and that you can live a more energised,
powerful existence when you unleash that giant inside.
As humans, we can’t help but gravitate towards individuals who are in touch with their power.
We are attracted to those who are self-assured and know who they are in
this world. Work towards manifesting your ideal self into reality and the
energy you radiate will be magnetic!
Stop Resisting Your Dreams
There’s an ocean of untapped potential inside your being, and guess what?
You deserve to release it! You are worthy of achieving your goals, and you
are fundamentally good enough for the wonders that life has to offer.
What’s holding you back?
1) Fear. Is it fear of rejection, failure or vulnerability? This is very human to
feel, but learn to embrace your fear, use it as a tool to propel you
forward and you will harness its powers for good.
2) Negative self-talk. Don’t put yourself in a box! You’re so much
more than that. Notice the old stories you tell yourself about your
identity, your skills and your qualities. If these stories aren’t serving
you anymore, get the eraser and start from scratch. Rewrite the story
to something kinder and more loving to yourself.
3) No sense of your ideal self. If you want to achieve
self-actualization, you’re going to need to think about who you want
to be. Remember, your ideal self already lies within you. You’re not
becoming someone else, rather tapping into the infinite goldmine
which you possess.
It’s in there somewhere, waiting to be let out.
I hope this post resonated with you – remember there is a
treasure trove inside of you just waiting to be opened. Turn your focus from
obstacles to goals and you will begin the journey of self-actualization.
Release that giant within!
YOU are more.. MUCH more!
