Picture this. You walk into a restaurant, glance at the menu for less than a minute, point to something that catches your eye, and twenty minutes later, there it is. Exactly as you asked. No grovelling. No, wondering if you’re worthy of that pasta. You order, it arrives, and you enjoy.

Now, here’s what baffles me. When it comes to money, abundance, or opportunity, most people overlook the fact that this exact principle applies. Instead of placing a clear order with the universe, they turn into awkward teenagers asking someone to the prom, nervous, apologetic, half-hoping they’ll get a yes, half-expecting a no.
What if I told you wealth works just like ordering dinner? The difference is, at the restaurant of life, most people whisper their order under their breath.
You’ve probably done all the “right” things, vision boards, affirmations, and visualisation sessions so intense they gave you a headache. And yet, the bank account hasn’t moved. Why? Because it’s not about whether you’re “spiritual enough.” It’s about how you’re placing your order.
When you ask for what you want, do you follow it up with a quick backtrack? “I’d like $5,000, please… actually, make it $3,000… You know what, $1,500 would be fine… forget it, I don’t really need it.” That’s like ordering a steak and then telling the waiter to just bring you whatever scraps are left.
The universe isn’t judging your request. It’s neutral, like a perfectly trained waiter. You speak clearly, and it delivers. You mumble vaguely, and it delivers that too. The only question is, are you asking with clarity or confusion?
Here’s where the Menu Method comes in.
Step 1: Be Specific
At a restaurant, you don’t say, “Just bring me some food.” You say, “I’ll have the salmon, medium-rare, with roasted potatoes.” When you place an order with the universe, be just as precise. The amount. The deadline. The feeling you want to have when it arrives. Specificity sharpens the signal.
Step 2: Order with Confidence
You don’t explain to the waiter why you deserve to eat. You just order. The same goes for abundance. “I’ll have the promotion, please.” “I’ll take the new client.” “I’ll take the fully booked schedule.” Say it like you expect it—because you do.
Step 3: Trust the Kitchen
No one storms into the kitchen every five minutes to see if the chef’s started cooking. Yet that’s what most people do energetically. They check, they doubt, they change their mind. Stop it. You placed your order—let it cook.
Step 4: Stay Open to Delivery
Sometimes your abundance comes exactly as you envisioned. At other times, it arrives in a different form, through a connection, an idea, or an unexpected opportunity. Don’t reject the delivery just because it’s wearing a different outfit.
Step 5: Ditch Order Anxiety
If you spend the whole time panicking, wondering if they have the ingredients, if you can afford it, if you even deserve it, you ruin the experience. Wealth works the same way. After you’ve placed your order, keep the “happy customer” energy. Relax, enjoy the ambience, and know it’s on its way.
And here’s the secret most people miss—sometimes the best things take longer to prepare. The universe might be gathering ingredients you didn’t even know you needed. That delay? It’s not denial. It’s perfect timing.
Your Practice Round
Don’t start with your life’s biggest dream. Start with something small, such as finding a $20 bill or receiving an unexpected discount. Go through the process: clarity, confidence, trust, openness. Watch it arrive. Then use that proof to fuel bigger orders.
Abundance isn’t a rare prize reserved for the chosen few. It’s the natural state of the universe. Look at the oceans, the forests, the night sky, there’s no shortage of mindset in nature. You’re part of that same design.
So, here’s my challenge. Today, pick one thing you want. One. Write it like it’s on an order pad. Speak it out loud with the confidence of someone who belongs at the table. Then live as if the order’s already in the kitchen. Clear space for it. Prepare for it.
The restaurant of life never closes, and the menu is infinite. Stop hovering outside the window. Take your seat. Place your order. And for once, don’t apologise for wanting the full feast.
Your table’s ready. The chef’s waiting. What will you order today?
Keep the positivity rolling, share the post and leave a comment below. Let me know about your successes with manifestation, or if you don’t have any yet, what have you ordered from the universe?
Have a great day.
