How to Use ChatGPT to Design Your Million-Dollar Business (One Incredible Prompt)

How to use ChatGPT to design a business that could make you a millionaire? Well, here’s a question you probably never expected to ask a chatbot.

What if your next business idea is sitting somewhere inside your head, waiting to be discovered?

Perhaps you’re brilliant at crafting, love gardening, enjoy baking, or have a strange fascination with collecting vintage teaspoons.

Don’t laugh. People have built successful businesses around stranger things.

The problem is knowing where to begin.

You could spend six months watching YouTube videos about becoming an entrepreneur. By then, you’ll probably have bought three notebooks, downloaded seventeen business planners, and developed an unhealthy relationship with multiple podcasts.

Or you could try something completely different.

How to Use ChatGPT as Your Personal Business Designer

Imagine having a business consultant sitting opposite you, ready to explore your talents, interests, circumstances, and ambitions.

Someone who asks sensible questions, suggests possibilities you’ve never considered, and helps you turn a vague idea into an actual plan.

That’s one way to use ChatGPT.

And here’s the interesting part.

You can start with the free version.

You don’t need expensive software, an MBA, or a mysterious uncle who owns half of Switzerland.

You just need a conversation.

How to Use ChatGPT to Discover Your Million-Dollar Idea

The secret isn’t asking ChatGPT, “How can I make a million dollars?”

You’ll probably receive a list of familiar suggestions involving online courses, dropshipping, and something called passive income.

Instead, ask it to understand YOU first.

Copy the following prompt, open ChatGPT, paste it into a new conversation, and let the adventure begin.

Your Million-Dollar Business Blueprint Prompt

COPY EVERYTHING BELOW:

Act as my personal business strategist, creative entrepreneur, and practical startup mentor.

I want to discover a business that suits my personality, interests, abilities, circumstances, and ambitions, with the long-term potential to grow into a million-dollar business.

IMPORTANT: Don’t suggest business ideas immediately. Interview me first.

Ask me three questions at a time, waiting for my answers before continuing.

Find out about my interests, skills, experience, available time, starting budget, financial goals, preferred working style, and anything I definitely don’t want to do.

Ask thoughtful follow-up questions until you understand me.

Then:

  1. Suggest five different businesses tailored specifically to me, including at least one surprising or unconventional possibility.
  2. Explain what each business would sell, who would buy it, why customers might choose it, and how I could reach them.
  3. Compare startup costs, potential profitability, competition, recurring revenue opportunities, and possible obstacles.
  4. Identify your two strongest recommendations and explain why they suit me.
  5. Help me choose one idea and design an affordable 30-day experiment to discover whether real customers will pay for it.
  6. Create a practical 90-day startup plan, followed by a 12-month growth strategy.
  7. Show me how the business might eventually scale to $1 million in annual revenue, including the customers, sales, pricing, costs, and resources it would require.

Be imaginative, encouraging, and realistic. Don’t invent market research, promise guaranteed earnings, or confuse revenue with profit.

Keep everything simple enough for a complete beginner.

Start by asking me your first three questions.

What Happens Next?

You answer the questions.

ChatGPT asks more.

Gradually, a picture begins to emerge.

Perhaps that love of crafting becomes a personalized gift business. Maybe your gardening hobby could develop into a specialized service or digital product.

You might even discover an opportunity you’d never considered.

And don’t be afraid to challenge its suggestions. Ask for alternatives, cheaper approaches, or completely different ideas.

Remember, a computer can help design a business, but real customers decide whether it works.

A million dollars isn’t guaranteed. In fact, your first target might be earning an extra $100.

But every business starts somewhere.

And wouldn’t it be rather wonderful if yours began with one conversation?
