The Power of The F Word in Your Business

We need to talk about the F word.
No, not that one.
The other one. The one you desperately need if you’re ever going to stop spinning your wheels and finally make your online business work.

I’m talking about Focus.

Funny thing is, most people who try to start a business online will swear up and down they’re “serious.” They’ll tell you they’re committed. They’ll post motivational quotes on social media. They’ll dabble in three different side hustles at the same time, just to “see which one works.” And then they wonder why nothing takes off.

It’s like planting ten seeds, watering each of them once, and then pacing around the backyard waiting for a forest to appear. Spoiler alert: you’re going to be waiting a long time.

The Lie You’ve Been Sold

We live in a culture that worships “options.” Start a YouTube channel, dabble in crypto, open an Etsy shop, run an Instagram store, flip real estate on the side. Diversify, they tell you. Keep your options open.

Sounds smart, right?

Wrong.

What you’re actually doing is dividing your energy until there’s nothing left to penetrate the noise. And in case you haven’t noticed, the internet is drowning in noise. Only the focused cut through and find their way out of the forest.

Focus: The Weapon They Don’t Teach You

Focus is more than a productivity tip. It’s a weapon. It takes scattered effort and turns it into a blade sharp enough to carve out results.

Think about it. The sun shines every day, but it doesn’t set the world on fire. Concentrate those rays through a magnifying glass, though, and suddenly BOOM… you’ve SMOKIN!!!.
Most entrepreneurs? They’re just standing in the sunlight, holding their paper, waiting for a miracle.

The ones who win? They’ve got the magnifying glass.

The Comedy of Distraction

And let’s be honest, the way most people “build” an online business would make a great sitcom.
They start with affiliate marketing. Then they see a TikTok ad promising “six figures from drop-shipping in 30 days.” Drop-shipping is the new dream. Two weeks later, they’re on YouTube learning about vending machine empires or glow-in-the-dark cat pyjamas.

It’s funny until you realize what it costs: years of wasted momentum, confidence shattered, dreams shelved. I have been an active member of the online business community for 21 years now, and trust me when I say this…

Many of the people who started online at the same time as me are still spinning their wheels.

Listen… if what you’re doing isn’t working, it probably won’t work in a year, 5 years, or like, forever… sometimes, you have to listen to those who do and change track… I model people who are already successful, not people who are forever thinking about it or doing just about everything apart from getting serious.

Serious people focus on one thing. They get good at that and then, when business is going well, they diversify within the confines of the existing business.

Focus isn’t sexy. It’s not “overnight.” It’s doing the boring, consistent things while everyone else is chasing the next shiny object. But here’s the kicker: focus works.

The Bottom Line

If you want to be average, keep dabbling.
If you want to build something that actually lasts, pick a lane and double down until you break through.

Don’t let anyone fool you, success is usually quite dull before it’s dazzling. The grind is where most people quit. But if you stay focused long enough, you’ll hit the escape button and fly, and that’s when the fun begins.

So yes, in business, you’d better get comfortable with the F word.
Because without it, you’re just another casualty in the internet graveyard of abandoned ideas..

With it?
You’re unstoppable.

Choose your F word wisely.

Have a great day

Keith
