Back in May of 2010, a guy named Laszlo Hanyecz made what’s now considered the most expensive pizza purchase in history. He paid 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas. Back then, those 10,000 BTC were worth about $41. Today? That same amount would be worth over $1 billion. Yep—a billion dollars for a couple of large pepperonis.
Now, I’m not here to talk about pizza. But I am here to talk about opportunity.
Because here’s the thing: opportunity doesn’t always show up waving a big flashing sign. Most of the time, it’s subtle. Unassuming. It feels like a gamble, or even a distraction. Until it doesn’t.
Let’s put it this way—if you’d bought just $1,000 worth of Apple shares 20 years ago, you’d be sitting on roughly $185,000 today. That’s the power of spotting opportunity early. Hindsight is a great teacher, but it’s a useless strategist.
So what’s the next big thing?
I believe it’s AI.
But here’s the trap many fall into: people look at new tech and immediately ask, “What’s this going to do to me?” Instead, you should be asking, “What could this do for me?”
Remember the Millennium Bug? When the world thought everything would crash at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve 1999? Banks would fail, planes would drop out of the sky, microwaves would rebel. None of that happened, of course. But fear always sells more than opportunity.
And today, AI gets the same treatment.
The media loves a good doomsday narrative. AI will take all the jobs. It’ll become sentient. It’ll destroy creativity. It’ll melt your toaster.
And yet, behind the headlines, something far more powerful is happening.
AI is quietly becoming one of the best tools for making money, saving time, and unlocking creativity that we’ve seen since the invention of the internet.
Let’s look at a few examples:
- You can now create stunning, original images for your content without paying for stock photos or worrying about copyright.
- You can write blog posts, scripts, outlines—even entire books—by prompting tools like ChatGPT.
- You can create AI-generated voiceovers, or even clone your own voice to narrate videos.
- You can brainstorm business ideas, product names, solve math problems, or even plan a gourmet dinner menu with the right prompt.
Whether you’re a content creator, entrepreneur, coach, or just someone trying to get ahead—AI gives you a serious edge.
I’m not saying AI is perfect. It’s still evolving. And yes, there are risks—just like with any powerful tool. But if you’re thinking ahead—1 year, 5 years, 10 years—you can’t afford to sit this one out.
Most people will hesitate. They’ll consume content about AI for months without ever actually using it. They’ll wait for it to become “mainstream.” And by the time it is, the biggest opportunities will already be gone.
So here’s the question:
Will you be the person who looks back and says, “I was there at the start… and I did something with it”?
Or will you be the one saying, “I wish I’d started back when it was still new…”?
The choice, as always, is yours.
I hope you got value from this post, if you did, why not share it? and leave a comment below. Let me know how you are using AI in your everyday life.
All the best
